Ridgeway Technology email settings

If your hosting account has been moved from the old Artisan Websites server to the Ridgeway Technology server the settings for your email accounts may need to be changed.

If you are getting errors when your email software, such as MS Outlook or Windows Mail, is sending or receiving emails or you have stopped receiving emails then please check your settings.

The correct settings for your email software are as follows:

Incoming Settings

Server: This should be set to mail.(your domain). For example mail.ridgewaytechnology.co.uk
Port: If you are using the IMAP protocol this should be set to 993. If you are using the POP3 protocol this should be set to 995
Encryption Method: This should be set to SSl/TLS
Require Logon Using SPA: This should NOT be set on

Outgoing Settings

Server: This should be set to mail.(your domain). For example mail.ridgewaytechnology.co.uk
Port: This should be set to 465
Encryption Method: This should be set to SSl/TLS
Require Logon Using SPA: This should NOT be set on
My Outgoing (SMTP) Server Requires Authentication: This should be set to 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'

If you are unsure where to change these settings then please refer to the notes below. Note, we have only listed the two major email software, i.e. MS Outlook and Windows Mail.
